Wednesday August 7th is the Downey Symphony Orchestra’s annual “Pops in the Park” concert at Furman Park on Rives Ave south of Florence Ave. Music director Sharon Lavwry plans an evening of classical favorites and movie scores that is always a crowd-pleasing experience.
