The Downey Art League and Downey Arts Coalition present an artist workshop by Roy Anthony Shabla on Tuesday evening, February 26, 2013 at 7:00 PM. Meet at Rio San Gabriel Park in the Activity Room. This is an exciting opportunity to experience the techniques of artist Roy Anthony Shabla, who is arguably one of the most unique artists in Downey's borders. His paintings are often large format abstract expressionism, exploring various pour techniques, texture and color combinations to a powerful effect. Also a poet and an author in his own right, he has been an active part of the Downey Arts movement, volunteering as a curator and organizer of local arts and poetry events. All are welcome.
